Missouri State coach Martin has shown toughness in overcoming obstacles

That's a pretty good story. I wasn't very impressed when he was hired but I must say that he has my attention now.

I would say Missouri State is the best story in the Valley this year to this point.

Martin played on an Illinios HS state champ out of East St Loo......they beat Chicago King (I think) in a nationally televised game. Starting 5 all went D-1..........Laphonso Ellis to Notre Dame and the NBA....Jackson? to K-State........etc

Good Lord! Good news is that regardless of what he does at Missouri State, he's an asset to the league. Bad news for the rest of the Valley is that he sounds like the type of guy for whom failure hasn't been an option. Great story.
