I have been looking forward to each game with increasingly greater excitement as this team continues to improve. Pitting this 'new and improved' Shocks team vs. a ranked opponent will really give us a feel for where the team stands in its progress.
This one has got me wishing I could fast forward to Saturday evening. The joint should be rockin'!!

Basketball Season Tix since '77-78 . . . . . . Baseball Season Tix since '88
Of course everyone is excited. How often does WSU get a ranked non-conference opponent on its home floor?
I agree with ’85: At the end of this game, win or lose, we will be able to creditably evaluate progress of CGM’s program. Personally, I am having difficulty tempering my enthusiasm – I want to see how this young team stacks up.

I'm trying to maintain an even keel about Tech. The Shox are about due for a bad game or a letdown game. This would be a bad time to have it, but that seems to be when those types of games occur. Either that or against a team that can be easily defeated, but gets handed a W.
I'm trying to temper my enthusiasm so that a loss isn't too upsetting.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
This is where Coach Marshall has to engrain the work ethic and prepare them mentally for what is at stake. While the week off is killer for us as fans, as we have tasted what this team can be, I think it's a good thing for the team to continue to watch film and figure out a way to go about their business and execute on the court. We have made plenty of mistakes over the past few games that we should be able to correct them.
"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

We already had our bad game for the year. It was against Pittsburgh.
This is a really dumb thread and Tech fans are already making fun of it on their board. Maybe we should restrict posting permissions on SN.
We know we are excited. Tech fans are excited too. However we don't need Mr. Obvious threads on SN.
Personally, I don't care if Tech fans like it or not. It's not their board, and I don't think anyone's trying to impress them! Hopefully our team will get the job done on Saturday and that will doubly increase the 'who cares what Tech thinks' mentality!
Sure it's a little obvious, but if people want to have fun expressing themselves and showing their enthusiasm for this game in a thread, then so be it. They're having a good time, and isn't that what this is all about? I say let people have fun. There are plenty of threads that died an early death because they were silly and probably shouldn't have been posted, but this isn't one of them obviously.
Let people have their fun! These kinds of games don't come along near enough for us--thus part of the reason people feel the need to show their enthusiasm.
