Yes, it's back. And with four teams in from the Pac 10. Give me a break.

Missouri State makes it in and Northern Iowa is amoung the last four in. Again, the Valley will be deserving of three teams in the end, especially if the Valley has a winning average this weekend in nonconference games.

I think the 4 teams in for Pac-10 is a misprint. They are listed among the 2-in conferences and if you look over the bracket, only Cal and Wash are there.

Boston College in as a #12 regional seed is ridiculous and shows BCS bias. UNI is one of the last 4 in, yet is seeded as an #11 and beat BC by 12 on a neutral court. Other BC losses, from the Atl-10, St. Joes and Rhode Island (by 11), and Harvard. All losses to mid major programs.

Latest update has two Valley teams with MSU in the "Last Four In" group.

PAC-10 is down to 3 teams.

          Big East (7)
          ACC (6)
          Big 12 (6)
          SEC (6)
          Big Ten (5)
          Atlantic 10 (4)
          Mountain West (3)
          Pac-10 (3)
          Missouri Valley (2)
          West Coast (2)

All the Shox have to do is bump UNI or MSU out by winning the regular season conference championship... 8)

The MVC will likely have two. Three is possible but not likely given the drubbing the committee took from Billy Packer and company last time the MVC received four invites.

What a shame because I think this year the conference has at least four teams that are capable of winning games in the tournament.

Additionally, I predict that the MVC will not receive higher than a nine seed because that would give the conference another advantage which can't be allowed.

Exactly, Ricky. Or January, or February... Some people apparently just don't have enough to do. At least in Lunardi's case he gets paid for this foolishness.

What's so bad about college basketball speculation?

It's simply a talking point, obviously there's quite a bit of basketball to be played.

I think the best barometer of where the Shocks are as a team can be taken after 1/9. Week by week, the team will get their chance to make a case.

I saw this on the Matty P's PayDay cafe and thought it was funny. Remember, it's not a rivalry.

MTXE: Any comments about an obsession on this one?

Nobody on ShockerNet ever speculates about anything. Starting lineups, conference finishes, post season tournaments,, recruits, chartered jet passengers and destinations.... never..... We have much better things to do...

edit: I forgot to list speculating on where the Shox will be on 1/20...
