So? Are you making excuses for another school's lack of attendance?

      SO????

No, I think I simply stated its easier to draw consistent crowds at college events in a metro area. It's the only thing to do in Wichita on a given night. You know, some may call it the "hottest ticket in town."

My point is, what does that have to do with anything?

You are clearly making an implication beyond the statement. No other post in this thread mentioned attendance. You brought it up.

Yes of course, urban schools draw bigger crowds than rural because people in urban areas have nothing else to do.

We simple city folk just have our basketball games to go to, not like those hip, busy country folk!

Of course he is making an implication. That WSU fans aren't really that 'great'. There's just hundreds of thousands of people with nothing else to do. It couldn't possibly be that we have a rabid, enthusiatic, tradition rich fan base, could it? Only KU and KSU could possibly have that type of fan base...

O 'Master, isn't there a Board of Regents policy that only KU and KSU are allowed to have more than 5 fans?

Is that why UCLA averages about 5,000 fans a game? Or Arizona State averages about 6k a game?

Your point is pathetically beyond flawed.

It's probably time for you and the rest of Kitten Nation to pipe on down. Just remember it was a short 4 years ago when your women's team was consistently drawing more than its men's team..

                            Perfectly stated Fever.

Population doesn't play near as big a role as people would think. A loyal fan base is #1 (we were drawing well over 8,000 even during the dreadful 1990s) and a quality product is #2, and right now we have a pretty quality product.

I loved it the year Huggies was hired. KSU went on this enormous season ticket sales drive and sold 7,000 season tickets to see the GRCOATTM (Greatest Recruiting Class of All Time).

Then they allocated the remaining 6,000 seats to the students and put out a press release saying they had sold out Bramlage on season ticket sales.

That's probably the only clever thing that athletic administration did.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
