OK. I read through the (locked) SOLD OUT thread and this thread. My advice is to lock this thread and let it die. (Perhaps I shouldn't even post here but both threads are counterproductive.)

I will say this. Last year I sat next to her during the Stanford game in post season. She was ALL OVER the refs and not hiding it. I thought it was funny but it shows she does have the same edge her husband does. So if you mess with the bull...

If you weren't using the seats and you didn't pay for them why did you care? Seriously? I can imagine he would have left eventually. And if he didn't was he really bothering you?

Oh well, the other thread was locked for a reason but I think next time you should just watch the game if you're not being harmed and enjoy some really good seats like you had.

The shirt that this metal person was wearing was of questionable taste for a 30 yr old man to be wearing w/ sexual refs and some lame frat stuff with it. I found that as pathetic vs the K-State shirt as...clueless.
It is a smile as this is somewhat like an old Seinfeld episode in which Elaine wore the wrong gear in prime seats that were given to Jerry. I don't believe that Ms. Marshall called you an a-hole, but if you are psychic you are probably spot on. You called security? This is how the big man at KU went down, what a whiner. Of course you'd been drinking so, I guess that just makes you the drunk chick who cries at the party. You never should have posted on this and you would do well to be quiet and let it die.

I'm sure to the average fan who didn't know what was going on it looked bad.

By the way it is totally inappropriate to show up to a game wearing another teams color's. Even though my wife grad from KSU she only wears her WSU gear to the games. Only exception is the WSU/KSU baseball game she dons her shirt. O well.
And yes Spangler I have talked to her about taking more classes at WSU. She only went to KSU because it was the only program in the state to offer her degree.

In my opinion, you should have never made your initial post. It did not serve any useful purpose. If you had an issue with Ms. M., then take it up with her.

I'm with u RDR. I read his post and I'm going is this guy this stupid. He's like some of the idiots who tape their own crimes. And then he has the nerve to tell us that we should all f-off if were offended that he goes to a WSU basketball game:

1. Has 5 premium seats and only fill 2
2. His party wears k-state colors
3. They are intoxicated
4. Then starts a disturbance with the Coaches wife
5. Then comes on SN to brag about it

That is pretty sad on many levels.

I have sat close to MHCGM (Mrs Head Coach Gregg Marshall) at a couple of away events and have not witnessed any such conduct as described by the katz. It's time to let this thread go the way of the dodo. The Wichita community is fortunate to have the Marshall family they do much and do not seek media attention for their charitable efforts.

J. Johnson/River Ctiy Brewery/Flint Hills National owned the seats in front of the Marshall family for several years. J.J. is a quality guy.

Too bad he gets embarassed by some dillweed he tries to do a favor for.

For a beaker, JJ is INDEED a quality guy and a big support of WSU (although slightly diminished since Mark left).


JJ is proud of the WSU program, and has every right to be, and that's not something all KU fans could or would say.

This is like the tabloid edition of Shockernet. You guys are looking at the wrong facts here. IF you had acquired some real nice seats, and some guy just sits down next to you w/o asking, would you not mind a little? especially if he was being rude back to you. I let the guy sit there for all of halftime, but when the 2nd half started I kindly asked him to go back to his paid seat.

I didn't start the disturbance with the wife, she started in with me because I was asking this guy to leave. I did forget the politics of those seats however, which may have been the biggest mistake. I'm young and used to standing in the student section, I would rather trade 4th row seats sitting for 20th row standing in the student section IMO.

I didn't even realize it was Gregg's wife until after we left. Then I put two and two together. It was my first game of the season and I hadn't seen his wife since his first year.

I hate to be THAT guy......but this is how I see it.


The point is, he had tickets for those seats for that particular game. Therefore, he had every right to as that guy to leave. I am not going to get involved into what was said to whom or if he was acting like a jackass. But from a bare bone point of view, Those seats were Metalkatz's to do with what he pleased as long he was not damaging them or being a big disturbance.
