  • Crowd reaction I LOVED

This is the first game I've been able to attend this year, and I was really impressed with the crowd's reaction to Stutz's blind overhead save, followed by his taking it strong to the rack and getting fouled. The whole crowd erupted and he got a standing O. Kudos to the crowd!

He struggled this game, of course can't play great EVERY game I suppose. But he deserved the ovation. The few minutes he did play he was aggressive.

Only slightly better than the roar from the crowd when TCU finally introduced an American player.

For a few seconds there, the noise leveled to that of Florida State. That was quite the eruption indeed.

It seemed like there were a couple tacky fouls called on Garrett just for the simple fact of him being the tallest kid on the floor. Lame.
        Deuces Valley.
        ... No really, deuces.

Yeah, he was called for a couple bad ones. But they were all around just horrible officials.

The thing that impresses me about Stutz are his soft hands and the fact that he moves pretty quickly when needed. His work ethic, ability to hit the outside shot, and determination is going to take that kid places.

He looked like a giraffe going after that ball - all knees and elbows. The guy is fearless.

I think, at least from where I sit, that a big part of the reaction had to do with Gregg's epileptic fit he threw in support of the save.

The guy SO belongs at Wichita State it isn't funny. We were MADE for him, and he for us.

It was a great crowd! The Tech game could bring the loudest, most hyped crowd we've seen in a very, very long time (Creighton in '06 probably). A 10-0, likely Top 25 ranked opponent should make for a very potent recipe. Add in a week for the WSU faithful to whip themselves into a frenzy and Saturday will be scary fun!

Can't wait. This team is showing a ton of poise, and I like the way the responded tonight, but I guess that info is for a different thread!

Oh, and I forgot to mention the whole 'stand until the first FIELD GOAL' thing is getting better. Yep, there were still quite a few folks sitting down after those free throws TCU had at the beginning, but not nearly as many as we've seen lately. Hopefully when TT comes it will be even better.

They already are ranked 23rd in the coaches poll. They're 26th in the AP poll.

They'll be in both polls this week.

It helps that #18 Texas A&M lost tonight. Thanks Mark! :good:

New Mexico could be close to getting ranked and sCUm plays them next Saturday. You know what that means? Another big fat L for the conference.

Noted... I guess I was thinking in BOTH polls. It's going to be fun.

I thought Creighton was overrated a bit coming into the season but sure didnt expect them to do as badly as they are. Heck, they are the only MVC team with a losing record!
