Please dont compare the Shocks with the Maginot line. The "unbreakable" Maginot was captured twice including once by sheer stupidity! ;-)

General Martin, commander of the IX Corps, was ordered to advance forward from the Maginot line against a German division, and thus locked the concrete bunkers and left the keys with a colleague. While his colleague's unit was ordered south to reinforce French cities, Martin was forced to retreat from his unsuccessful attack and found himself pursued by a German tank division, and locked out of his own fortifications. He was forced to employ French engineers and sappers to break into the bunkers, which were subsequently overrun by the Germans.

    Please re-read my comment.

I did not compare the 1-3-1 to the Maginot Line. I said others have done so.

Also, note that I said that I hope the 1-3-1 is as inpenetrable as the Maginot Line.

          Game! of! the! night!

UMKC fan here, hoping for a great game tonight. I taught Garrett Stutz in high school, so needless to say, I'm always rooting for Garrett and the Shockers to do well (expect when they play the Roos!)

Anyway, midmajority (a great site) has named the game tonight the game of the night, here's the link:

Site will be available soon. Thank you for your patience!

Met some umkc fans in Santa Fe (they were on vacation also) a couple of months ago and did find some common ground in that we both thought ku fans were obnoxious and felt entitled. Here's to a good hard fought Shocker victory.

Going for 6th straight double digit win.

excerpt of a 7 game double digit winning streak.

7 – 1963-64: Dave Stallworth and crew built what is likely the most impressive win streak in Shockers history. It included double-digit wins over over nationally ranked Oklahoma City and St. Louis (both on the road) and four MVC wins. Only one of the seven wins came at home. The double-digit streak ended with a four-point win at Loyola-Chicago. The win streak continued for four more games, including victories over Cincinnati and Marquette and a second win over defending NCAA champion Loyola-Chicago. When old-timers bemoan the loss of Ernie Moore for the 1964 NCAA Tournament, this is why.

Dave believes we were the best team in the country with Ernie Moore at PG. He' right.

If you haven't bought tickets yet, you can get $25 tickets right behind the Shocker bench. I got row 3, which as the guy at the box office said 'You'll be right behind Coach Marshall.' UMKC box office: 816-235-2752

I can't be there with her. Wish her a Happy Birthday.
Also wish your family a joyful day! (if you know what I mean ;-) )

It is going to be freaking cold tonight in KC.
My suggestion to you road-trippers is to park under Barney Allis Plaza, I think the entrance is on Central (one block east of Broadway) between 12th and 13th. Municipal is on 12th street.

If I remember correctly, there is an underground tunnel between the garage and the arena, just go up one level of stairs from the Music Hall and you end up in the Box Office foyer.
I had season FOOTBALL tix... did you?

As long as the shocks are aggressive and attack the zone their defense won't be a problem.

Did anyone ever confirm the channel for the game. On my COX guide it is listed on ch. 22 with no listing on 12, But everywhere else I can find it is listed as being on KWCH 12, like the eagle, and MBB poster. I would really hate it if I recorded the wrong channel, as I won't be home for the game.

Yeah it shows Cox 22 on my guide also. I've heard from lots of other places it's on CH 12 though. I'm going to say it's on CH 12.
