Kyles is a pleasant, well spoken young man. Don't know if I have ever heard him interviewed.

Overall tonight I would say an A- for the Shox. Defense was great, only thing that could improve some is 3 point shooting and maybe a little less fouling. That's all you can pretty much complain about, great game Shox!! :yahoo: :goshocks:

Overall this was a nice game and good improvement from the other night. 46 points in a half hasn't been the norm for WSU for a while. It was nice to see good games inside from all 4 big guys. I will say Stutz is showing us something and I hope he keeps it up.

VERY good defense tonight! This was thug ball at it's best...makes SIU look like altar boys.
Shox did their thing and kept their cool. Stutz with another very good game! Kyles with some highlight reel stuff. Lotta fun!"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

A solid performance from the Shox. JT caused others to foul him rather than fouling others and what a difference that makes! The only one that looked out of sorts was Kenny, but he's a freshman and therefore earns a bit of a 'pass' I would think.
7'3" dude from Upstate will be my biggest interest on Saturday--except for my interest in WINNING of course!

I can see why so many people come down so hard on Kyles if he has an off night, because when he's on he entertains. When he ran down the baseline for the putback he came out of no where. His hang time on Murry's lob was about 5 minutes & I think he knocked his head on the rafters.Phi Alpha

Weird observation.
At halftime, Athletic Director Eric Sexton was supposed to receive some kind of elite award. President Beggs was there and received the same award, but Mr. Sexton was unable to attend.
I can't remember the last time I've seen this guy, whether it be to the media or out in the arena. Maybe it's because I'm not that high up on the status-o-meter.
It just seems like he's never around. Barring some kind of family emergency, I know our previous AD would have been there for sure.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Thursday's game vs. Tx Southern was a VERY entertaining game. More highlight reel stuff than we're used to.
The Shocks ran some pretty good offense most of the night with pretty much everyone involved. Most all the sets resulted in good shots. After short pauses to recognize the zone and some of Southern's trap plays, the offense really flowed. The "2nd line" didn't really miss a beat on offense, with Stutz, Blair and Kyles really doing some nice stuff all over the court.
The defense by the Shocks was smothering, particularly when the top 7-8 guys were on the floor. The backup guards let a few things get through, and Tx Southern got some easy baskets after the lead was pushed to 30 or so. Southern's offense did not take advantage of their strengths, IMO. It was essentially 4-flat with someone going one-on-one with 10-15 seconds left on the shot clock, but their spacing was terrible and it cost them a bunch of turnovers. Really pretty easy to defend and the Shocks did it well.
There was enough in the game to get the crowd really rockin' but it never happened. For whatever reason, the energy from the crowd was very poor. I guess since the game was put away pretty early, folks just sat back and watched, but there was A LOT to be excited about. Also, despite 10, 237 announced, I'd estimate maybe 8,000 actual attendance - pitiful. I hope you people are storing up your energy for TCU and TTU - we're going to need to bring our 'A' game vs. those teams and let them know THIS IS OUR HOUSE!!
Go Shocks!
