  • Missouri State now #7 in cbs rpi poll

This is good for the Valley. I hope that they keep winning. Northern Iowa isn't far behind them at #14.

I realize that these polls are only part of the calculation but I would much rather have several Mo Val teams in the top 20 than not.

Tulsa was a HIGH quality win. Lot's of home cooking and UALR is bad, but it's still one solid win after another and no losses.

    Until they lose........

They have Air Force at home this weekend (rpi #77) that would be another good one to bag. I'll be pulling for them.

Go MSU! I hope they win all but 2 of their games... the two against us of course!

realtimerpi has similar rankings, but a little lower there was this interesting tidbit:

I'll start with Drake, because they've been beyond bad so far this year. Before too much laughter ensues, bear in mind that WSU is #155

          166 - Drake
          201 - SIU
          275 - UE
          280 - CU

It's way too early for RPI to matter, but it can be interesting.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

The team that is a nearly unaminous #1 in the polls is ranked #74 in the RPI.

Utah has the same record as WSU & a SOS rank worse than WSU but is 20 places higher in the RPI.

I don't guess I'd question too much if we ranked top 10, but this seems like a useless tool, at least at this point in the game.

I think you meant Idaho. Their RPI is better because they have one more road win than WSU and their one loss was on the road as opposed to ours being neutral. Our SOS looks better due to having #13 Pitt, but we lost, so it didn't help our RPI that much.

Don't forget that Northern Colorado beat Air Force by 24 and AF's wins are weak opponents. I would expect MSU to win. Whether they do or not is to be determined.

Yes you are correct. I would like to apologize for my transgressions.
