CU is our main rival in the MVC. And my dislike for them grew even more when they came back and beat us in the MVC baseball tournament a few years back in Omaha. They acted like they freakin' won the world series by dog piling and acting like a bunch of jerkwads.

They have a nice school, and nice fans, and decent support in Omaha. They just don't seem to do anything. I guess I just don't understand the rivaly thing with CU

Excluding Tulsa, the team I like to beat regardless of the standings and beat them in all sports is MSU. Maybe it is the fact that they are from missourah and are slavers. Maybe it's the fact that they love the Baldknobbers. Maybe it's because I also graduated from KU and didn't much care for moo. I don't know what it is about MSU, but I love to see the Shox beat the crap out of them in every sport and completely dominate them. And the Shox usually do exactly that.

IMO, the Shox are peerless in the Valley, but MSU would come as close to a rivalry with WSU. Not quite there yet, but with their new coach winning games, we might see it...
As much hatred as there is between the fans and coaching staffs I would say it is SOME sort of rivalry between WSU and CU.

I don't think they were acting. It comes pretty natural to them.

              Obviously, ESPN screwed that up.

1/9, Creighton @ Wichita State (ESPNU)—Many say that Creighton vs. SIU is the rivalry of the Valley, but I really think that Creighton vs. Wichita State is a bigger rivalry between the fan bases and it has spilled over to the court as well. The first meeting of two within a week of each other.
what im confused, i thought its not a rivalry
I think a Creighton guy writes that too. .

                  Elitist reality check.
                  Deuces Valley.
                  ... No really, deuces.

The game was in Springfield. Omaha has too weak of fan support to host a Valley tournament. They never have.

I do remember the "celebration". They likely would have missed the NCAA's so it was a big deal to them, a "Super Bowl" if you will.

We ended up going to the Supers; they got decimated to a pulp in Fayetteville.

Wichita State (2-0 this week)—The Shockers keep plugging along, getting wins against Creighton and Missouri State. Wichita State had a 25 point lead at Missouri State before barely holding on at the end to get the win. The Shockers, however, still look to play a full 40 minutes but have a lot of weapons. The controversy in that game was that a fan in the Missouri State crowd shoved Toure Murray to the ground. Likely no punishment for the fan. They might have found that full 40 minutes on Saturday night as they took revenge against Creighton over last season’s MVC tournament game shocker with a rowdy home crowd and took Creighton out right from the beginning of the game. They will be tested this week as they hit the road for both of their games against Indiana State, and a return game with Creighton in Omaha.

Actually the 1978 Valley Baseball Tournament was held in Omaha. It rained a lot and they drew about 50 people a game.

It has NOT been held there since then.

I thought this one was particularly funny.

                            How old is Singh? 29?
