I'm thinking in the year when we were I think 26-3, AC and X both pulled out some show-time dunks in some games when we were up big. They have their time and place.
Remember seeing AC do a 360 dunk at Normal at his last game playing at IlSU. I liked it. The Normal crowd even appreciated it.

Seriously? I pull out an awesome Exree Hipp reference and no one bites?
In this game from January 28th, 1995, Exree Hipp sinks two straight three pointers vs. Duke. Maryland would go on to win 74-72. Hipp finished with 21 points.

Kyles' dunk last night was one of the prettiest I have ever seen.

I've only been attending since the early 90's so I didn't get to see X or Carr play, but that dunk last night was unreal. Not just the dunk but the pass was spot-on too.

Sophomore to sophomore. Life is goooooood!

" Wichita State (3-0 this week) — Wichita continues to roll with three home games this past week. Right now, Jerry Palm’s CollegeRPI.com ranks WSU’s strength of schedule No. 323 out of 347 Division I schools. The big story of the week during this guaranteefest is what the redshirt players are doing this season. A road trip to UMKC and a home game against TCU are on the schedule this week. "

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

                    Solid write up.

Surprises at the top — A year ago, you would not have seen Missouri State and Wichita State at the top of the conference with Creighton and Bradley towards the bottom. But this is how the crazy Valley non-conference season has gone so far. The Valley is an impressive 80-32 (.714) in non-conference play with some nice wins against top level conferences that have been missing over the past few seasons.

1/9, Creighton @ Wichita State (ESPNU)—Many say that Creighton vs. SIU is the rivalry of the Valley, but I really think that Creighton vs. Wichita State is a bigger rivalry between the fan bases and it has spilled over to the court as well. The first meeting of two within a week of each other.

It wasn't in his last game. I'm pretty sure it was in a game during Christmas break against some patsy because it was the only game I missed that year. That's when the student section was right behind the Shocker bench and we had to camp out for season tickets, I sat in row 4!

I am probably the minority with my view, but I don't consider Creighton a rival. They've been pretty steady in basketball, but really don't do much in other sports. I don't get excited to beat them unless they are above us in the standings. They just seem a little pretentious to me and I kind of disregard them. They have a nice school, and nice fans, and decent support in Omaha. They just don't seem to do anything. I guess I just don't understand the rivaly thing with CU

Excluding Tulsa, the team I like to beat regardless of the standings and beat them in all sports is MSU. Maybe it is the fact that they are from missourah and are slavers. Maybe it's the fact that they love the Baldknobbers. Maybe it's because I also graduated from KU and didn't much care for moo. I don't know what it is about MSU, but I love to see the Shox beat the crap out of them in every sport and completely dominate them. And the Shox usually do exactly that.

IMO, the Shox are peerless in the Valley, but MSU would come as close to a rivalry with WSU. Not quite there yet, but with their new coach winning games, we might see it...
