Glad to see he got benched for the 360 attempt. That kind of stuff belongs in a dunk contest or a playground....not during a game.

Glad to see he got benched for the 360 attempt. That kind of stuff belongs in a dunk contest or a playground....not during a game.

But you can bet your yearly salary that had he pulled it off, it would have been #1 on SportsCenter and young players everywhere will be thinking they need to do something like that in a game.

I am fairly certain that Antoine Carr did a 360 dunk in a game. It was impressive but was also near the end of the game and he was scoring at will.

I'm thinking in the year when we were I think 26-3, AC and X both pulled out some show-time dunks in some games when we were up big. They have their time and place.

I totally agree. The dunk had it's time, and that time has for the most part passed.

Ask Texas what they think of showboating dunks these days.

There are a few reasons he's playing in Oklahoma this year.

P'unk showed some class with his stylish dunk against us recently (the hand behind his head)...I remember plenty of complaints about it.

I guess if you like a showboat then you get stuck with a player like P'....no thanks.

If you can pull a three sixty pass to yourself off the backboard two hander with a flip off the rim at the end dunk in a game, then do it. If the other team doesn't like it, they should play better defense. If you miss it, you should have to sit the rest of the game with your pants off, like if you don't make it past the ladies' tee in golf. To me, this rule would prevent most attempts.

Favorite dunk by an opponent was Larry Bird, Shccks up by a bunch (this was the year before their great run) near the end of the game Bird has a breakaway, slams it off the board and grabs with one hand and slams it. Thing I remember most was his pi@@ed off facial expression, he did not like to lose.
One of my favorite slams by a Shock did not result in points. X-man fighting for loose ball and is going out of bounds, the opponent falls down and X is in the air with the ball. He slams it down on the him with no mercy, Shocks ball. Great Slam!
