I'm just going to enjoy the ride. This team could make a deep NCAA run if everything clicked (e.g. mental & physical aspects of the game) but I don't expect this. This team has potential and I'm going to enjoy the good and the bad.

I think the coaches target of 23 wins this season is within sight. We are maturing as a team, I can see this every game, and our freshmen are getting some good minutes.

North Dakota State was being touted last year as a program on the rise.
How are they doing so far this year?

Well, it was Alcorn State, and it was a weeknight. However, if this had been 4 seasons ago, it wouldn't matter and we'd still have a packed house.

I predict our first sellout won't come until TCU or Texas Tech. Sadly, sellouts will likely be elusive this year except for big-name non conference and more marque Valley matchups.

This tomfoolery doesn't bother me because I can accept that I could possibly be wrong about something I expected.

MVC 13-5 (top 3)
MVC Tournament - 3 wins.

I keep getting confused over total games to count. I don't count Ark-Nickelback, but I do count BracketBuster, so I think that makes 29 games before Arch Madness.

Overall - 26-6, but it doesn't matter. We get the auto-bid based on the fact that we have the talent at depth to go 3 games straight better than other teams in the league - and besides, it's our turn and we're due.

NCAA - one and done - bad draw is karma's payback for getting Seton Hall in the first round in 2006.

Sorry but you're rarely gonna find anybody get up for Alcorn State. Watch the KU game on Wednesday. It might be loud at first (they are the No.1 team in the country) but it'll die down and eventually with about 5-10 minutes left in the game, the place will be half empty and it'll be dead as a doornail.

3 straight RPI killers in a row. I hope our schedule improves a bit next year..

My point is after we played a bad game and lost to Pitt every other post with regards to that thread was about "we suck" and then it was "youshutchermouth".

Hell we can play an excellent game and lose and you would think the world ended with half the people on here.

Happens with every loss people seem to jump off a cliff.
