Drake lost to SIU Edwardsville. HFS

You have got to be kidding - but I guess not.

I knew Drake was bad, but losing to SIU-E is beyond embarrassing. Evansville beat SIU-E by 30. SIU-E lost to Lipscomb and IPFW. SIU-E didn't have a W this year.

Then they beat Drake - AT DRAKE!

At least Evansville was able to sneak past 1-5 Alabama State after trailing most of the first 37 minutes.

And it was a home game for Drake, in their own tournament. I wonder if their star freshman (Simons) got hurt. 17 minutes, no fouls.

They would be such a good fit for the Summit league.

Yes, I know they are good in some of the minor sports and had a good year two seasons ago, but being back to doormat basketball and no baseball = not MVC material.

How about that Pitt - New Hampshire game.

15-7 at halftime.

Pitt pulls it out, 47-32.

Only two Panthers had more than 2 points. Only 5 scored.

Going into tonight, 4-2 Iona was at home against 2-3 St. Peter's. They lost 54-56. That ought to put another cut into Creighton's RPI.

Detriot will be a tournament team this year, and for the next 4 or 5 years. They have a great coach, are getting some great players, and play in a league where they will be able to dominate.
