Pitt better be careful this could get out of hand fast. They need a shot and if this was last night it would be Woodall or Gibbs.

Anybody read the KC Star article about UT-Pitt game? Besides giving the score in the 1st paragraph and a brief stat in about the third to last paragraph, the ENTIRE article was about KU fans and players attending and potential KU-UT player match-ups. A total INSULT to the Panthers.
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

How so? The article you speak of is just doing what it was intended to do - Hype the KU and Texas matchup. KU fans got the chance to check out the competition rather than wait to see them.

Im not sure how the print edition looked but there is coverage of the game itself to be found online. Beside do you really think the general public cares one iota about Texas or Pittsburgh? This was nothing more than the equivalent of a Bob Lutz article in the Eagle.

Would you feel this way if you were a Pitt player who had travelled 800 miles to compete in a tournament; or a Texas player/fan who won the tournament?

Nothing wrong with writing the "column", but it should have been separate from the game article.

                          you mean like this

The article you seem to be upset with was not a game article.

I'd be pretty pissed if I was a Pitt player reading the Pittsburgh paper. I probably wouldn't give a damn what the KC Star had to say.
