Creighton-Dayton got super-special treatment on Saturday morning. I've gotta say, that 1988 tv-intro-video was EPIC. Creighton's defense an epic fail. It's only one game, but if the Bluejays think they can take that kind of defensive effort into places like Cedar Falls or Wichita...they're sorely mistaken.

Here is a tidbit from USA Today...

Creighton hasn't beaten a ranked team on the road since it upset Bird's Indiana State team on Jan. 28, 1978. The Bluejays have dropped 25 straight against ranked teams on the road, falling to 2-63 in those games.

It's time for another team to dominate the Valley during this coming decade. SIU and CU didn't do enough on a national level.

Let's see, who should that team be??

I'll go out on a limb and guess that the first letter is a "W" and the third letter is a "U".

One thing you can count on year in and year out. CU is a solid #30 - #50 team. A little better when Korver, The Eldest, was there.

That's good enough to have a decent showing in the Valley year in and year out, but not good enough for Valley teams to get a national recognition or credit for beating them.
