I was happy to see Aaron get the POG from Mike and Dave. I thought Aaron played the most consistently good ball on both ends of the floor and was very active on the boards. Furthermore, he worked very well with the guards defending the ball screens at the top of the key.

I also give Aaron a big :good: for his post-game interview.

Very polite, well-spoken young man. Here's hoping this year is his coming out party.

BTW, congrats to Aaron on his marriage this past August. Aaron seems to be pretty content with his life right now.

i disagree, Gabe is actually athletic and has really good size, not to take anything from RM, he was a really hard worker and all, but Gabe has tons more potential than RM.
Agreed. Gabe is taller and more athletic. Give him a few games and all should be impressed. At least I hope we are.

Ditto. Of all the things Clemente did well, maybe the most important was his interior and top of the key screens that allowed the offense to function. Aaron has done a good job taking on this often overlooked role, and he will be important to our offense working right, even when he is not the one scoring.

I was impressed by so many players last night. You can just see the potential brimming out of this team. Stutz needs strength, Williams needs seasoning, Durley, Kyles, and Murry could all take the game over at anytime, and Ellis looked like it all clicked for him! As a junior, he still has the opportunity to be a 15 and 10 kind of PF. I don't expect it, but I do expect him to play a key role in the Shockers success over the next two seasons.

By the way, I think we have the best post in the league for 40 minutes a game! That foursome will be tough to contend with, espescially if Durley and Ellis can play 25+ minutes every night. Blair and Stutz start on most MVC squads this year.

Did anyone else notice that minus the 6-7 wing, this team looks like an ACC squad from top to bottom?

Did anyone else notice the problems that TM and DK caused at the point on defense with their "bigger than your typical point guard wingspan" when the opposing player tried to penetrate or pass into the lane?

An FDU player indicated that he thought WSO might be better without Clevin Hannah at the point because the ball movement was hard for them to keep up with and CH dribbles way too much. We did move the ball around very well. He may have a point if CH does not continue the passing and dribbles too much.

Clevin may be better about that as a senior than he was last year.

Also, I would think that our movement without the ball is probably already a lot better this year than last year, so some of Clevin's over dribbling may have had more to do with young teammates not moving without the ball than him not being willing to move the ball quickly.

Even if he isn't over dribbling, I wouldn't be shocked to see some lineups with Clevin at shooting guard and Toure at point.

The ball movement was VERY solid...even in the 2nd half. There was alot of passing and not a whole lot of dribbling.

Fans need to stop leaving the game with 5+ minutes left. That irks me.
