If all we care about is being the best team in a mediocre conference ("everyone sucks and we're good"), then the MVC champ is a 12-14 seed every year.

Memphis and Gonzaga are anomalies. I don't see us being them any time soon. And even CUSA and the WCC have secondary teams that are at-large worthy or close (UAB, Tulsa, St. Mary's).

I want the MVC to have enough quality teams that the Shocks are battle-tested by March with a chance for a seeding of 10 or better. As such, I will pull for all MVC teams in the non-conference. Even Creighton.

I guess I should modify my stance a little. I want all Valley teams to win, EXCEPT for Creighton.

I'll buy that. The conference we play in is a key component. But these things are much more important to me:

-who WSU schedules (in and out of conference)
        -who WSU beats

Let's not forget that our current coach dominated a weak conference and what did that get him? Terrible seeds in the NCAA.

I seriously doubt if GM would agree with your analysis about the other teams in your conference.

Last week was a "D" for the conference. Bradley and CU were the only schools that played decent teams and both lost. All the rest of us played schools that would have been very embarassing had any of us lost.

The BCS schools can afford to play weak schools at the beginning of the season. We can not.

You can't play a game you can't schedule.

Well DUShock, it would of been nice for us to have beaten Auburn at home instead of Missouri St. doing it. They also have Tulsa at home and St. Louis, Arkansas on the road. Also Arkansas St. and Ark-Little Rock, both decent Sun Belt schools compared to the group of 300+ RPI teams we have coming up.

Are we going to start seeing chocolate-dipped cotton balls on the training table anytime soon? ;-)

Anthroshock, it's good to see someone here recognizes some humor from the "two to the fighting eighth power" :good:

Only if they're seedless cotton balls
