            • SIU pissing it away by doing what Creighton does and just jacking up 3's and not rebounding.

Down 10 with 3:55 left to UNLV

Let's hope they do the same thing against us and hit the same percentage.

                  • Portland handing Oregon its first lose of the season, 88-81, completed an interesting day of BCS loses to non-BCS schools.

#17 OU, Georgia, USC, Oregon St., and Oregon lost to VCU, UAB, Loyola Marymount, Sacramento St., and Portland respectively.

While most of the BCS teams were not the Goliaths of their group, the non-BCS teams were not the Davids of theirs either. This was not Gonzaga, Xavier, or Butler chalking one up for the little guy.

The Big Boys came into the day 8-3, while the upstarts were 9-7. Ah, but at the end of the regular season we will be enlighted by media experts who will explain to us the disparity between the BCS conferences and the "others" and why second division teams from BCS conferences should dance while 2nd and 3rd place teams from top mid major conferences don't. When that day comes, and it will, I will look back to days like today and politely ask them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

                    • SIU lost 78-69. They had some interesting numbers......

Only 11 assists on 21 baskets seem to say a lot of 1 on 1 action.

Dawgs shot only 35% from the field and 19% from 3 but 85% from the line.

They only had 2 steals....unusual for an SIU team but they only turned the ball over 8 times....very low total.

Matt Shaw was the second leading scorer for............the Rebels.

                      • I personally love how every pundit out there was sleeping with Oregon State and how they were gonna be an NCAA tourney team.

Lost by 20+ to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and just got beat down by Sacramento State at home.. Oooops.

                        • UNLV is only supposed to be a middle-of-the-pack MWC team this year. The Uglies are a streaky 3-point shooting team... missed like their last 13 3's or something like that.

Now down 1-2 in the "Challenge"..

                          • At least the "Challenge" is light years better than the Bracket Buster farce.
