Uniforms are always a point of contention with me.

    SIU looks good.

MOState finally got rid of the silly looking script.

Really, really like Illy State's retro lettering and monchrome. Clean and sharp.

Creighton is cleaner but nondescript. Kinda like Dana.

    Now...

We had the debacle with the "generic" uniform. We have had the Nike unis with the black with yellow square on the shorts. Time to change. With there being some celebration of the MTXE could we see new unis with a retro look? I would love that. Make something distinct. The Nike "system of dress" is not something I could get behind.

Looks like Jank brought some old jerseys with him when he left Larryville.

First thought that popped into my mind as well

Too bad we are still using that yawner of a font we've had since Civil War.

Seriously, is there a more bland, uninspired font than we use to spell out "WICHITA STATE" on our unis? Looks like something used in biddy ball, from a screen printer in western North Dakota who's trying to get rid of his inventory of iron-on letters from circa-1983.

We could use a better font, but I guess I'll be the first to say that the MSU and ISU unis are ugly.

MSU roads are an improvement, but not the home whites. The maroon letters are just too big against the white background.

ISU's are both awful, IMO. Good font or not, I don't like the look.

I like SIU's and would love to see a WSU version that said "Shockers" on the front, with "WSU" down the sides or on the shorts.

The CU unis are ok. Not bad, not great.

                  Really really looks good.

My opinion may change as the year goes on but they look so much better than what they had last year

The only way WSU will probably get something "MTXE" affiliated is 1. The school asks for it. and 2. they go with system of dress.

                    From Shockwaves...

Moving ahead, WSU will stir up some old memories with its celebration of MTXE night on Jan. 3 against Bradley. The Shockers will wear the old uniforms from the early 1980s with MTXE and the old-style WuShock (the best WSU uniform look by a large margin. It should be the look every season). Some old coaches and players will return. WSU is preparing a list. It expects some big names to return. More details to come.

I am looking forward to Bradley's road uniforms.

They have been the worst looking for decades.

In fact, I don't think they have bought new road uniforms in decades.

How did they get the guys to agree to short shorts?

Question for you older birds out there: Were they bitchin' in the 70's about the uniforms not looking like the uni's from the 60's, 30 years ago?

I just wonder if that's a new phenomena or it's a reflection of our aging fan base that likes the traditional angle?
