  • CBE Classic - Parking

The City of Kansas City publishes a handy dandy map of parking locations around the Sprint Center, Convention Center, Music Hall and Grand Ballroom.

The map size is about 8"x11".

It shows both surface and garage parking along with the number of stalls.

I received my copy without charge and by mail.

The department is called Convention and Cultural District Public Parking.

The contact phone number is 816-513-2763.

Is this the map you are talking about?

If so it can be found (unfortunately a poor quality scan) here.

      Mad,

The map, which is linked above, is similar to the one, which I have. The map, which I have, provides more detail and location information.

The on-line map will certainly be sufficient, but perhaps not as convenient.

I hope the great City of Wichita provides parking for the IBA as the great City of Kansas City has provided for its downtown attractions.

I don't think I'll be going to Kansas City. It just doesn't look like I can park at the front door. From what I can see it looks like I may have to walk a block or two. What the hell kind of city is that anyway. :D

If you've never been to an event at the Sprint Center, make sure you get there plenty early. Parking ins't that bad really but the traffic is terrible right before a game. It can take 10 minutes to go a block.

Your best bet is to get there really early and just go have a beer before the game. Otherwise plan on a 1/2 hour once you get off the highway just to navigate around the Sprint Center and find parking.

The traffic flow has been purposely designed to promote early arrival, late departure from the Power and Light District, maximizing tourist expenditures...
