    Really impressed by Ellis

I sure hope Kyles has that late season attitude!

Kyles Manigault & Murry, a 6'4" fast athletic guard combo, hmmm.

Stutz or Durley? I'm glad it looks like a question.

I like Ellis too. I don't see him as anything other than a 4 in the Valley. Most Valley team are either 3 guards or a small 3 and Ellis has been a bit too slow to guard them. We have 5 guards that can play the 2 or 3 and 4 players that can play the 4 or 5, it easy to see where Ellis will spend most of his time.

How about Hannah, Hatch, Richardson, and Williams? I expect Williams or Richardson or both to redshirt. Hannah is pure money at the point and Hatch is the most hard-nosed player on the court, if he can regain his form with the revised shot look-out. The thing is all those players have skills that we need. With CGM at the helm we should be able to run most teams out of the gym.

Stutz or Durley? I'm glad it looks like a question.
I think Durley at least early in the season. Stutz seem to be growing into the new size at far as basketball goes. If he has added strength he will get more time, if he has found a mean streak also he could move ahead of Durley.

How about Stutz AND Durley....Durley is really a natural 4...It would be great to see him alongside Stutz and eventually EO...Also, Am I the only one who sees similarities between Manigualt and Jamarr Howard...long, lean strong, quick athletes ...great slashers but not so good shooters? I know KM is a point guard who can pass...I'm not saying they are identical but there are similarities

The other night, I kept seeing PJ in him. Maybe it was his number. But they are the same size and KM swats the ball away like PJ did, too. It will be interesting to see him play once the season starts.

Hopefully he won't get into HCGM's doghouse--a la DK last season-- for not playing like the coach wants him to.

I would like to see that too, but in the valley I am not sure JT is quick enough to guard the opposing 4. However, he would wreak havok on the offensive side.

I think JTD would do well against opposing PF's. He is very quick for his size (girth). The key would be Stutz being able to step up if JT got beat. If GS has the right instincts and foot speed They could be devastating. I think we are a year away from that however. For now its Durley/Stutz and Blair/Ellis. Don't forget Hamilton if he is ready.

Durley is quick enough to guard a 4. Durley came to WSU with no defensive skills, understanding, savvy, or desire. That's the more likely area to question.

The real problem is players only get 5 fouls. Both Stutz and Durley are a little foul-prone. It's going to require both of their minutes at the 5 to keep one or the other of them on the court at all times.

It's nice to get 10 fouls out of the center position instead of only 5. That can be a difference of 6 or so points a game.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
