Saw this on the Phog. Might not care for the content, but the delivery is pretty good.

Just goes to show you what Big Bucks can do. Great recruiting tool. WSU could get a nice jump on other Valley, many mid major, and some BCS schools with such a tool. At the least, it would comparitively show the Shox in a positive light.

The BCS will continue to pull away from all others, short of some sort of a miracle. Amongst our "peers", I would go out on a limb and say we lead, financially, rather than follow.
But yes, all websites associated with both the academic and athletic side of WSU appear to be designed and maintained by a homeroom class of computer-proficient junior highers.

As a former graphic designer/web designer/marketer, that website looks like a mess to me.
I've got an instinctual cringe that happens every time I go to a website and immediately see the "loading" page for flash animation that's sure to be superfluous and pointless. Hello, 1999.The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Ricky Bobby - My Big Bucks comment referred to BCS schools. As to your three comments: 1) Yes I do, 2) That's why I made the suggestion, and 3) That's what I don't want to see.
rjl - As a former graphic designer/web designer/marketer, that website looks like a mess to you? Would it look that way to a current graphic designer/webdesigner/marketer? ;-)
jcdshocker - The fact that it came from Texas A&M and MT had nothing to do with my comments. Plug in any BCS school. The idea of the website is a great recruiting tool. Clean it up some, as rjl suggested, and shorten it. WSU could project a nice image out there.

I agree, the website is a mess. It is better to put nothing on the net, than to put a bad website on the net. People make judgments about what kind of person or organization you are, and your website reflects that.
If I had MY NAME on a website, I would make sure the website met my standards of presentation and not some sophmore student's in a web designing class.
