    All-Time Sagarin Ratings

    Jeff Sagarin compiled an All-Time Sagarin Ratings that goes from the 1937-1938 season up to today. Prett interesting stuff. I don't agree with some of his rankings. I think the Big 10 gets way too much respect, but never the less it is interesting to see how it all falls out using his computer formula. It also breaks down the top 40 teams in each decade. Here is where the Valley schools fall.

    Wichita State #81
    Southern Illinois #84
    Creighton #86
    Drake #104
    Evansville #106
    Missouri State #112
    Illinois State #113
    Indiana State #125
    Northern Iowa #195

    Pat Forde loves the first 1,195 pages of the "ESPN College Basketball Encyclopedia." But when it comes to Jeff Sagarin's all-time rankings, well … let the debate begin.

    Sagarin also lists the top 40 for each decade beginning with the 40s. WSU was #13 in the 60s.

      I would bet that WSU would have also made the top 40 of the 80's if we wouldn't have had the one year on probation. Sagarin does not count any probation years into his formula.
