Kansas University junior basketball guard Brady Morningstar has been suspended for the first semester by coach Bill Self.Self informed Morningstar of the penalty Saturday afternoon, several hours after Morningstar was arrested by the Kansas Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Maybe they should do like SIU did and ban all of their players from even stepping foot in any bars....
Take this as a wake up call Brady and don't ever take a chance like this again.

Suspended for the first semester. This is much more than I expected. Maybe Self is sending a message to his team. Righfully so.
I don't think Boo was suspended at all. But then there was no way to tell.

I think the operative phrase here would be "he violated team curfew rewstrictions that are more severe since last week." Looks like bs put new guidelines in place to keep things like this from happening, and morningstar happened to be the first one caught and was made an example of. He sent a message and pity the next fool to break a team rule.

Yes, but the real question is what kind of punishment will be levied against the players who participated in the fights recently. Has any punishment been levied yet?
Is this going to be punishment meted out according the player's importance to the team?

Brady screwed up, but many kids do. His punishment has been delivered. I'll give him a pass because this is his first offense (that we know of). I just don't get the part where you play for a team, that is perseason #1 and your focus isn't 100% on basketball. Hopefully, he has learned his lesson, but if it happens again, he's fair game to any and all critics.
I give BS a pat on the back, he is making a stand for his team rules.
