It's imperative for a good showing each and every nationally televised game. Our beloved program needs positive exposure to gain a consistent footing at the top of the Valley and nationally.

I don't see on WSU's schedule where you play on ESPN. I see a few ESPNU and ESPN2 games, but not on the mothership.
If you're counting those as ESPN, then I'm afraid you're incorrect. KU has a contract with ESPN to broadcast all of our games nationally on Full Court. So actually we'll be available via an ESPN broadcast Nov. 3 against Fort Hays State.
I will concede that if you don't count Full Court games, then WSU does have the first national TV appearance when you play FDU on the U. KU's first appearance on national television is Nov. 17, when we play Memphis on ESPN as the anchor game of the network's 24 Hours of Basketball event.
That being said, it looks like 8 WSU games will be on the ESPN family this year, which is awesome.

ESPNU2 is all the same to me kid,it don't really mean much. I was merely congradulating these guys on getting more airtime than last year.I live in TX, went to school in another state, I don't give a damn about what KU think they have over the other schools in your state. You could have given that info without even mentioning what KU had, I certainly didn't ask.

However, ESPN = ESPN2.

I just had to clarify between the different ESPN networks, which I think are different, but that's just my opinion. As I stated, WSU does have the first real national telecast of the in-state teams, which is pretty cool.

The networks each get equal audience numbers now. 15 years ago, you had an argument, when ESPN2 wasn't a part of basic sports packages. Nowadays, everybody who has ESPN has ESPN2. They are essentially the same thing.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

I realize this topic has to do with ESPN games .................. but does anyone know why there aren't any WSU games on COX 22 this year?
I hope it is not because Mark Elliott is the program manager for COX 22. I remember when he was a sports anchor for WIBW - Channel 13 here in Topeka and he refused to acknowledge that WSU even existed. I remember talking to him about the lack of WSU coverage here in Topeka - and his response was. "They are not in our broadcast area". I told him that KU and K-State were covered in Wichita, so why isn't WSU covered in Topeka? He ignored my question.
At any rate, I hope to again see WSU games on COX.

ESPN and FSN usually get first dips at what games of our they televise. Then Cox chooses after that. I think last year they didnt have their tv schedule set up until about a week before the season started.Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/Shox_KCfan
