I dunno where shockball's getting his info from, but they're definitely scrimmaging somebody.

Only one exhibition game on the schedule confirms this..

Again, as I stated last year, this is one thing that I completely disagree with Coach Marshall about. If 2 D1 teams are squaring off, sell some tickets.

I know he's got his reasons, but in the grand scheme of things, I just don't think it makes sense.

I'm sure it would be done if the NCAA allowed it. KSU doesn't want to play us in a game that counts.

The scrimmage makes immense sense to me.

2 or 3 hours against a D1 team behind closed doors is a good opportunity to evaluate players, plays, execution, and plans. It's a "real" situation because the level of players is about equal.

That beats 2 hours of pounding the backsides of some lesser players in a game where execution and timing are meaningless because of the differences in skill level.

Both players and coaches can learn more in a scrimmage than in a one-sided "game".
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

                    Ditto!

Besides with Arkansas-Monticello on our schedule you could argue we do have two exhibition games (or more).

Exactly and actually I believe they go for 2 sessions with a break in between. So it probably ends up being more like 4 hours of time on the court. I have ZERO problem with this and definately see the benefits for the team.
