I was hoping KEYN (FM) would be broadcasting the games like they do Volleyball. Oh well."You Just Want to Slap The #### Outta Some People"

I do wish they could sync up better the TV so I could listen to "The Voice of the Shockers", Mike Kennedy instead of the dunces om TV. Some tech glitches, but those are likely to happen anywhere. I was PO'ed one time when they decided to leave a baseball game that was in doubt in the 9th to go to full time weather coverage. The weather wasn't affecting anyone in the area and KFDI already does that and much better.
As far as the weather thing - this drives me crazy, too. There are plenty of resources available if one wants to switch over and listen to weather coverage ad nauseum. Some stations mission statements stress the public safety thing more than others. It used to be that the stipulations of being granted a license by the FCC for public broadcast, stations were required to perform a public service or public safety function. This may have changed, though. KWCH is the worst at lengthy, repetitive weather coverage.
My biggest beef with KNSS is their "don't give a damn" attitude about the internet feed and archiving the broadcasts. Way too often, the feed doesn't get turned-on by the engineer or the archives don't start and stop at the beginning and end of broadcasts.

The archives are totally automated though. I have them starting 5 minutes before the beginning of the hour which means about 10 minutes before tip off and they run for 3 hours. 3 hours should be enough to get at least the game but usually most of the post-game too.
I know of no problems with the archives though other than if the audio feed isn't turned on then obviously we are only recording dead air but all of the games should have a full 3 hours of archive.
