The word from our boards was that Larranaga wanted to continue the series w/another home & home, but Marshall wasn't interested.
Now it's a message board w/all the accuracy and verified sources that goes along w/it......so take it for what it's worth. That said, the poster(s) that it came from did have some history of insider knowledge and not simply diarrhea of the mouth/keyboard. Again, take it for what it's worth.
I know our fans would love it and I think mutual support exists between the programs. You respect our FF and we're 2-1 in the series, we love the way you've kept it going and for so long, the immense support and noise you turn out at games, and you've gotten the "last laugh" in the series so far.
Please do call in to the Coaches show I can tell you from personal conversations w/one of the assistants that scheduling quality opponents that'll actually play us at home is a constant struggle - no doubt the same problem you have at the gladiator arena you call a stadium. 8)
How will we be this year DoubleJay.....that's a darn good question. In a word, young. In three words, talented but young. The last two recruiting classes have been just phenominal and big things expected from them. We've 1 Senior, 2 Juniors (one doesn't play though), 3 Sophs, and 7 Freshman though - so growing pains are expected. It should be a different team in November then it is in March. Of course our biggest recruit the last two classes was Larranaga himself. Providence, his alma mater, came calling and it looked like we were going to lose him for a while.
