Acording to JoJo Dabbs on Bear's Nation here is the MVC prediction from Athlon.

Hard to believe but the Athlon College Basketball Preview is on the shelves.

The order of finish goes something like this: 1. UNI 2.ISU 3.CU 4.WSU 5.SIU 6.BU 7.INSU 8.MSU 9.DU 10.UE

The NIU was intentional. They aren't really worth an extra move of the letters.

I don't think UNI will win the league either. Teams will be better prepared for them this year than last year. I think they drop off some, kind of like Drake did after their year of glory.

I won't do the little write-up on each non-conference opponent as I did on the Lindy's post....I mean the info should be the same LOL.

But here is how Athlon's sees the teams finishing in their conference:



Fairleigh Dickinson - 10th in the Northeast Conference (11th in Lindy's)

Pitt - 10th in the Big East (7th in Lindy's). **They did give Pitt the 3rd best recruiting class**

Alcorn St - 6th in the SWAC (5th in Lindy's)

Texas Southern - 10th in the SWAC (9th in Lindy's)

USC Upstate - 10th in the A-Sun (10th in Lindy's)

Cleveland St - 4th in the Horizon (4th in Lindy's)

UMKC - 9th in the Summit (9th in Lindy's)

TCU - 7th in the MWC (6th in Lindy's)

Texas Tech - 11th in the Big 12 (12th in Lindy's)

ND St - 7th in the Summit (6th in Lindy's)


Possible teams:

Texas - 2nd in the Big 12 (2nd in Lindy's). **Ranked 2nd best recruiting class in the Big 12 (behind KU)**

Iowa - 11th in the Big 10 (11th in Lindy's)

Doesn't it sound a little odd to have a team picked to finish 11th in the Big 10? Now there's a team that doesn't deserve a spot in a conference tournament -- any team that finishes lower than the number of teams in the league's name should be automatically excluded.
