Since, the silence has been deafening, I have to assume the answer is No.

I just have one question for sometime in the distant future:

Is this the right man to be in charge of selecting GM's replacement?
    Hardly.
Upon further review, I take it back.

If WSU hires a professional search firm, the probably OK.

If ADS chooses to do it on his own, then hardly.
You would think WSU would a learned this lesson the hard way.

    • I gave the guy a "D" back in September for numerous reasons including lack of retention, lack of communication, and lack of vision. Amazingly and frustratingly so, those are still my concerns after he's been on the job 10 additional months. No one knows where the guy stands on anything regarding WSU athletics - not just football, but ANYTHING!!!

      • ADES is not quailified for the job. He was given the position so that things were not being shook up and so coaches wouldn't leave with fear of an unnown athletic director. We need a change now before things get worse. WSU needs to be proactive on this...not reactive.

        • Does anybody know about Allen Ward from his time at WSU?

His bio didn't say anything about him working at WSU, only that he got his master's in sports admin here. Since he's 40 years old and has been at Murray St for 3 years and at North Texas for 14 years, it doesn't leave any time for elsewhere.

But it does bring up an interesting point. What are the chances of WSU getting an up and coming AD (if needed) from a school like Murray / North Texas where they have football to go to another mid-major school that doesn't? Not saying I'm for or against the football issue, however, it would seem to reduce the selection pool from the lower conference schools of the FBS and FCS that do have football whose ADs may want to move up to schools who also have football.
