Not true Fever. Memphis was a #1 seed in 2006, a #2 seed in 2007, a #1 seed in 2008 and a #2 seed in 2009. Calipari took over at Memphis in the 2000-2001 season. It took him five seasons to turn them into a national power. However, it was not until after Marquette, Cincinnati and Louisville left C-USA to go to the Big East after the 2005 season that Memphis really started having their success. Considering that information you could actually make an argument that playing in a weaker conference actually helped Memphis's seeding because it made their overall record so good.
You're right 771. I should have worded it differently. The weaker conference does help inflating their record and I guess what I meant by "hurting" them was this past tourney, where they could've been a No.1 seed by everyone talked about how weak C-USA was as a counter point.

But the point being, in terms of the overall worth of the conference, the Valley beats out C-USA.. IMO.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.
