BJB - while we love people to be a part of this board in any fashion - people are getting sick (and so am I) of the shots that people are taking about the pay side of this story. Yes, the OWH had this story first...unconfirmed from Will himself but from a source within Creighton. This will happen a lot. We aren't in a race...we want the best information out there and sure, we like to be first but it's not a deal breaker for us if they beat us.

cmon man, if you can't see that Matt has about the most combative attitude on here than you need to read more. Check out the (still over limit) thread where a guy asks a simple question. He even has "what am I missing" in his post and matt's response was something like "No way, tell me the 14 people on scholarship then" or some in your face, you are wrong nonsense directed at the guy when he just wants clarification.

There were only a handful of people who blasted matt on the old bjc, but the minute this site was announced matt started making himself a target with several more people by his terrible, in your face attitude. So the poor matt talk is complete nonsense. I will agree that with MP here during bball season my life was marginally better with the coverage that he provided, but in the big picture I probably won't even notice that he isn't here come November.

Pride and arrogance are 2 different things, get that guy on here who always quotes the dictionary and he will tell you so.

I find it interesting that alot of the Matt apologists seem to only show up and post 1-2 messages in defense of Matt. How many profiles do you have matt??

It's kind of an obsession.

They are interviewing every coach (or a member of every program if the coach won't come on) as a leadup to the season. Marty Simmons and Kevin McKenna have already been on and Ben Jacobson is scheduled for this Sunday.

I didn't listen to much else, but what I heard I enjoyed. If that is a fair example of what you get on a daily (is it a daily show?) then consider yourselves fortunate.

Here are some Matty P. highlights:

I started this website because I wanted to use my Creighton connections to start a business that would help compensate Fred and myself for the work we are doing. Creighton is seeing a jump in exposure from that work.

Radio being sick in Omaha lead me to take my career to Des Moines. Would I have started this website with Fred without my leaving Omaha? No. But everything happens for a reason and this has been a ton of fun for me so far. We are well over triple digits for subscribers and growing every week.

Radio being is sick in Omaha at Journal is what "lead" me to take a job in Des Moines. I didn't have a choice obviously to find a new job but I could have taken a job in New Hampshire if I wanted to.

I'm not spinning. My show wasn't renewed cause 590 didn't want to pay for it. That's it. I didn't "lose" in the traditional sense. My company just went broke. They couldn't afford me.

For sure. I would love it. I just don't have the money behind me to get it done. If I could - I would start a network for Creighton called Creighton Sports Properties.
