  • CBE Classic- Update

Here is a list of teams that have committed to the CBE Classic Tournament. As everyone knows the Shox will play two teams (not Texas, Pitt or Iowa) at home before heading to Kansas City. Looks like they are still waiting to get commitments from two additional teams before the bracket will be released.

CBE Classic (Campus sites: Nov. 15-18; Kansas City: Nov. 23-24)
    UC Irvine
    Duquesne
    Eastern Kentucky
    Fairleigh Dickinson
    Illinois-Chicago
    Iowa*
    Pittsburgh*
Texas* (Nov. 15 vs UC Irvine, Nov. 18 vs Western Carolina)
    Texas-San Antonio
    Wichita State*
    2 teams TBD
*Will host first two games and automatically qualify for Kansas City

Here is a link showing the teams for all of the early season tournaments.
College basketball is still months away, but we've got the lineups for nearly every early-season tournament of 2009-10.

I was under the impression the 2 games at home would be against complete cupcakes. Duquesne and Illinois-Chicago definitely aren't RPI-killers and could actually present a tough game.

IIRC, UC Irvine played in Springfield at the tournement that the Bears hosted last year. They were not good at all. The Bears pretty much man handled them.

Unless UCI improves alot over last year, we should be able to ..... I don't want to jinx anything.

o yea, and i called the WSU ticket office, and the guy said the $50 tickets cover all 4 games in the tourney and they have the WSU section in section 121 rows 2-12. The deadline to get your CBE tickets through WSU is august 14th. Hope to see you all there

I am planning on going, but wow 50 bucks for section 121? Thats is pretty close to where the student section sits now in Koch. Im thinking I might just buy them myself (not through WSU) and try and get as close to half court as I can...

$50 for 4 games is $12.50 a game, and that is for rows 2-12. That really is not very far from the court and is a good deal.

Except that row 1 is quite a ways from the court to begin. Either way, I won't be able to make it considering it's a monday and tuesday. Hope to see a good showing of Shocker fans on the tube though.

Mad Hatter... Don't know where you got that seating chart, but it needs flipped left to right. I sit in section 120 during the season, and it is almost behind the opponents bench at the Southeast side of the arena.

I got it from the Sprint Arena website.

I purchased mid court tickets direct from the Sprint Center. The prices are the same as WSU is offering. If you're going and you've set your price don't wait. Your seat selection will only get worse.

Teresa and I are in Section 106, Row 21.

                            We ordered on April 2.

This will give some idea about seating availability.
