  • Update on Ogirri & His Brother

Slow time of the year so I figured I'd throw some news out from Miguel.

Sean right now is in the Dominican Republic trying out for the National Team and it can go either way for him. 8 guys at the 2 spot so it's an uphill battle.
    NBA players:
    Trevor Ariza
    Francisco Garcia
    Charlie Villenueva
    Al Horford (not there yet)

    Some other notable:
    Luis Flores Manhattan College
    Edgar Sosa Louisville

Also Miguel is waiting to see if he wins a man cave. He entered in a MLB & DIY sweepstakes for a MLB inspired Man Cave. Check out his video and if you want you can vote for him, eventually he will put up all of his Wichita Stuff for display.

    Wichita Family!!!!!

    Moose thank you....

I just read about Royal Shock passing over the reigns. Almost 6 years ago our family joined the Shocker family. Though it was rough at times and the task seemed daunting it will have to be one of those experiences that will remain with many of us forever.

Yes I'm in the contest for a Man Cave in the MLB/DIY Contest which might announce a winner tomorrow. Secondly after baseball season the room would be changed over to Wichita / Kentucky / Wyoming...... I have everything from the Sweet 16 run and that autographed gold ball .

I speak to Ryan and some of the other former shockers on Facebook and it's amazing to see many of these young men grow up and move on to become adults, some have embraced fatherhood.

I want to thank everyone whether the comments were positive or negative there is one thing we all have in common and that has to be putting this program on the map and winning the Mo Vallley year in and year out.

I have met so many people here on and off the court. Thank you for your well wishes when Sean left but things happen in life and changes sometimes must take place.

The entire experience had us on the edge of our seats and hopefully that will be the case in the years to come for future Shocker Teams.

I need to thank everyone for loving Wichita State the way you do because I know as well as the rest of our family you are more than just the 6th man. You all are what makes College Basketball so great !

Watching the fans cry when we beat Tennessee and in Washington, D.C. when the season was over. Those moments along with hundreds of others will be a blip on the radar but 20 years down the road these guys will realize what they accomplished with you pushing them to succeed. Those moments will help them more in life than any game they will have ever played in.

I wanted to pass along a note to Marty because he has been a great fan and supporter of the program. He went to great lengths to provide us with a copy of the games while we were mostly all out on the road.

The contributions of the site do not go unnoticed and for that ,many of the players families are grateful for scrimmage updates, and any other type of constructive criticism that might come our way.

If you are ever in Connecticut, NYC or New England you can always email or call. Because the biggest Shocker supporter you've ever met lives here.

Just because it was a unconventional so long doesn't mean that it was good-bye forever.

As a friend once told me.
    Friends don't say good-bye.
    They Say: "Safe Journey"
