He still has the option of coming back as he has not signed an agent. My guess is he will be back at Illinois State next year.

I agree. I believe he's getting his name out there and testing the waters a little, but I'd be really surprised if he did not come back.

Possibly similar to what Cooz did.

But should O go, ISU goes from a top-2 MVC team to a 5-7 MVC team, at least in my mind.

For selfish reasons I hope he's back. I absolutely LOVE watching O play. It really is a joy to see that kind of talent.

I'll never fault a guy for testing the waters without an agent. See what the camps are like, and get some good advice from NBA scouting personnel.

Guys from teams like ISU don't ever seem to go at any decent draft position unless they put on a show during March Madness.

Witness POB and Bradley. Without their S16 run, he doesn't get drafted at all.

Elrdridge has a lot more talent that Patrick, in my opinion, but who knows where he'll go. Doing this without an agent is a wise, wise choice.

I just don't see someone getting to be a lottery pick based off of an NBA camp, though.

Then again, if he totally tears it up there, I'm not sure why he wouldn't be. I just don't think it's ever happened before.

If he hears he'd be a first rounder that may be enough. I don't know what he's thinking as far as that goes though. But first round is enough for some. I could see O impressing enough to have someone possibly take him later. It depends on the individual. I do think another year would help him quite a bit but don't know the circumstances.
