If KU doesn't play the Shockers, they can stay out of Wichita.

I don't care what they do by themselves but I don't want to be a part of any doubleheader with UKL. It's bad enough when some dillweed wannabe and his crossdressing child show up at the Chuck wearing the latest beaker crap. Half an arena with those types will be enough to push me over the edge. No thanks.

I'm not sold on it if it's KSU....but I'll think about it.

RDR, I usually appreciate your directness, but I hate to see you pussyfoot around a Mark returning to ICT. ;-)

SBshock, that's some funny, funny stuff.

I would think MT would not rule out playing in Wichita. If he would he would get me completely over the Bowles thing.

The best WSU could get for the inauguration of CKA was Northern Arizona.

I don't think we're in a better position for landing a better team at IBA.

How is WSU going to get a "name" team to play a neutral-court game in Wichita? That's a worse scenario for a BCS-type team than playing a true road game in CKA.

The only reason for a "name" team to play in Wichita is to give their alumni a chance to watch the game or to go after local recruits. I don't think there's a school that would consider playing WSU based on that school's alumni population in Wichita.

I don't know that an additional 5,000 tickets could be sold for a game against Butler, Davidson, Xavier, etc.

I only see 2 ways to get a WSU game in IBA that seem logical or practical. WSU needs to be good enough to be a national TV draw and then set up a made-for-TV game. - OR - WSU gets a game from a team wanting to recruit Perry Ellis.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

FWIW, in the past, Turgeon did say that he thought Roy Williams would bring UNC to Wichita for a neutral site game.

I bet my last Grover Cleveland that he ain't coming back for any reason. Uh, maybe there is one exception - Perry Ellis.

Oklahoma State is the very best pick.

Oklahoma State would be good. Is there such things as Neutral-Neutral series?

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO BRING IN TOP BIG NAME SCHOOLS BUT JUST BECAUSE WE HAVE A NEW ARENA IN TOWN WON'T MAKE THOSE BIG NAME NON CONFERENCE SCHOOLS ANY MORE LIKELY TO COME...WE WILL HAVE THE SAME SCHEDUALING PROBLEM WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD...THAT'S ALL I'm SAYING
