I don't post much, but I lurk often, and I would cringe everytime I saw one of Cold's posts. He was always ranting or complaining or trying to prove a point with someone to the point it got personal, almost every thread. The biggest problem with him, and people like him, is that you can't have a debate with him. Because in his mind he is correct, 100% of the time. And that just makes people unbearable to be around, or listen to. Thank God he's gone, he was a jerk.

1.Censorship.

There are posting guide lines that everyone is or should be aware of. Cold was more than aware and had been warned a number of times.

2. It seems to me that it is easy enough to skip his posts, if you do not care for the probable content.

It's a lot easier now. But continued public attacks on some posters and the SN staff aren't going to be allowed and it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure that out.

I figured Cold would be smart enough to dial it back when he was warned again but he didn't. If you want a board with no rules or staff, go enjoy VT.

Apparently you haven't been around SN very long, because we have a number of posters who are just that cool.

Some have found the burning of incense, or something fragrant, in their high honor will coax them to divulge some of their vast, uber top secret, decoder ring knowledge.

This shouldn't be about 'Cold, but I guess I'll add my .02.

To me, 'Cold is what's wrong with the correct part of the left. They have their ideology but get so engrossed with it (and themselves) that they lose track of the ultimate goal.

If he would make his point, which more often than not has merit, and just discuss that point, he'd be great. Instead, he chooses to be a pathological narcissist and do everything possible to make it all about himself and then pours salt in the wound by hammering away, sometimes personally, at a variety of targets. The internet version of Cold Gone Wild....

To me at least, fortunately, responsibility and accountability exist in this part of the world. Given many, many opportunities to adjust, 'Cold decided to take the path of ACLU and fight the good fight in his mind by defending his version of NAMBLA. He chose poorly.

Imho, Shockernet is better for it. SN should be with 'Cold's brain, BUT he has NOBODY to blame but himself.

My apologies Royal - I know we should keep the thread on topic, but a vocal minority (however great their longevity or activity on this board) shouldn't get in the way of the right thing being done.

As far as the thread goes... I agree with the "hub" hypothesis.
