Unfortunately, though, we won't have Johnny Coy until after the fall semester. I was looking forward to seeing him play early next season.

We need more jump makers. We have one, but he is not quick.

We need more and better dribble penetrators. We have one, who cannot make. We have another, who turns the ball over.

          We need improved post defense.

I am not sure where the first two will come from.

I agree the team will be improved.

Play Toure Murry some minutes at the 3. New thought for me.

Here's the deal. This timely article has me wondering if the Shocks will improve more rapidly than an improved Valley. The Stanford home loss exposed the fact that we have areas of obvious needed improvement. However, I also reflect about our green Shocks early on only getting beat by 8 points by the mean green Michigan State Final 4 Machine. So at times we seem close, but just how far away will be be? No doubt we will be a beter team again next Season but are we still another Season away from winning the Valley and Dancing in March again?

Our guard situation looks solid with quality depth. Hannah and Murry should be improved and were our scoring leaders. Both made some big shots but need to reduce their turnovers. Kyles is a bright spot and Chamberlain can be a "lights out" shooter. We have reason to be excited about the Kenny M. and I have a feeling it will be hard to keep him on the pine much. The small forward spot should be set with 3 players, the Hawk, the Hatch, and the Coy all wanting playing time. I am hoping the Hawk perfects a pull up jumper that will reduce his charging issues. Hatch improved in most areas and I KNOW he is a good shooter in practice and we all want this accuracy during games. If Johnny Coy is a player that can in time bring in here a similar game as Kyle Wilson did, count me in.

The inside game will be where the 'rubber needs to meet the road.' Let's hope that JT, Gabe, Stutz, Hamilton and Ellis pump some serious iron with Kerry all summer long while also developing their game. As I watch the Dance, it becomes so clear that quality depth with 'the bigs' is an area that we will have to continue to improve. Let's hope JT keeps enhancing his game because he does have the talent to excel in the Valley. I hope that Gabe is a "difference maker" as I was told by somebody close to the Program. I think that Garrett would greatly benefit from a "Big Man's Camp." He is a quality guy and a class act. However, on the playing floor, let's hope he gets stronger, meaner, and the rest will follow. Before Stutz graduates, he will be a very special and improved Shocker. I hope that Clemente, EO and Paul Miller are here all summer toughening our bigs up and pushing them to get better. I'm ready for this snow to melt and watching some future summer Shocker "pick-up" games.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I want to seeing some bulging triceps when our players go to the line. I know Kerry probably develops them for 'long muscles'. When watching Paul Miller last summer scrimmaging with the team, he was ripped, bulging muscles everywhere, and he was dominant on the floor.

He seem like he developed more physically since he left here than he did over 4 years of being here.
