Here's the deal. The Shocks play tough at home and I foresee a bigger crowd for this game. However, this game will not be a cake walk by no means. Hatch did respond in his starting role last game and did not miss a solitary shot. I am hoping our inside players can stay out of foul trouble. The Shocks will prevail to the tune of----------77-70.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I saw an article previewing the Stanford/Boise St. game and I cant find it now...but it talked about how the seniors would continue to play and the freshman would continue their development...basically 4 seniors and 4 freshman playing most of the minutes for the Trees1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... Re: The Cardinal forcast
Originally posted by ShoxFan45This one looks to be tougher than the Buffalo cake walk we got tonight. Finished 9th in the pac-10, however has some impressive victories and margin of victories. Our shared opponents are Texas Tech and Northern Arizona. They beat TTU 111-66... ....they also beat NAU as we did 66-57, we won by 5 against the Lumberjacks. Have a win over Arizona, also beat Washington State, Arizona State, and USC.
Have three averaging in double figures. Two of them guards. Anthony Goods, guard, averaging 16 ppg, shoots 39% from three and takes about 5 or 6 of them a game at least. Lawrence Hill is the forward..6-8..13ppg..shoots some threes. And Landry Fields, guard, 12.7 ppg has him listed at guard although he is 6-7? shoots 35% from three.Shocker fan since December 28th, 2005!

Something else I noticed when looking at their roster is that they don't have as much height as I would expect for a Pac 10 team. Their 6 9 and 6 10 guys barely play so I think we should actually match up pretty well. The only big disadvantage from a height standpoint would be at PG but that has been the case all year. Just my take anyway.

I agree Russ. Fields looks like a major matchup problem for Hawkins and Hatch. If Ellis is guarding him, that means Ramon and JT need to stay out of foul trouble because I'm afraid their post players will eat Garrett alive if he gets very many minutes.
Murry and Kyles' will really need to D-up on the Goods.
We could see a fair amount of that 3-2 zone as long as Goods and Green aren't shooting lights-out.

Their starters go as follows:
Goods - G - 6-3 16.0 ppg
Hill - F - 6-8 13.4 ppg
Fields - G/F - 6-7 12.8 ppg
Owens - F/C - 6-8 7.1 ppg
Johnson - G - 6-1 6.8 ppg
On paper, it looks like we will be able to defend the post. However, their overall size could be a problem for us, particularly if they are very athletic.
From an offensive perspective, JT could have a nice game, if he is only facing a 6-8 defender.
The Cardinal as a team is shooting 38.9% from the 3 line. Not bad."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

He did not play basketball, but he is my favorite Shocker of all time.
Spiny, you'd better not go to the game. Bad enough to claim Dave Stallworth didn't play for Wichita State (and he may even have put in a season there when it was still just the University of Wichita, no "state" involved), but to smear him as a Jayhawk? They'll tear you to pieces.
:lol:Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.
