2009-2010 Schedule

I was reading the potential 2009-2010 schedules on Valleytalk and began to wonder about future scheduling possibilities. While the home schedule for next year looks great, is there any way we can use the presence of Perry Ellis to help bring a powerhouse team into Wichita for the 2011 or 2012 seasons? Evansville was able to get a 2-1 with North Carolina based on an area recruit. I just would really love to bring a big boy and hand it to them in front of 10k+ wild fans. I know the majority of fans are against 2 for 1's but maybe this could help us garner a 1-1-1 with an upper tier team.

I thought the last game with LSU was supposed to be a neutral court game in Shrevport, LA or something like that. Did I miss something?

I believe they have postponed that game until 2010-2011. Word is they may try to either buy it out or schedule it for the Dallas area.

Uh, I believe the postponement was for this year. Next season is when the game's supposed to take place, if it's not bought out.

Evansville got a deal like that because Roy Williams likes to play home games in or near a recruits hometown. I give the man props for that. So if you want a situation like that we'd have to lose Perry Ellis to another school and hope they want to play in his hometown after that so his familiy and friends can watch him.

It would be cool though if we could convince Memphis to come in the Wichita so Perry could watch them. I believe he's already been out there to watch a game though...

Oops! Sorry folks, mea culpa, I deserve to get smoked/flamed for my brainfart post. I know better and have no excuse for my memory lapse.
