  • WSU not interested in CBI/CIT Tournaments

Wright State University that is. 8)
Wright State Head Coach Brad Brownell informed both of the smaller tournaments today they are not interested in playing in either of the smaller venues. Brownell was quoted as saying since the NCAA is out of picture, an NIT was the only bid they would accept.
Now that's what you call a bunch of arrogant Raiders! ;-)
Above all, make the right call.

Is Wright state junior/senior weighted team? If so I can understand.

However if they are freshman/sophomore heavy I think they are making a mistake. Look at Tulsa from the CBI last year. Great experience for thier young players and right now im listening to them playing in the conf USA championship game.

I guess he doesn't get an automatic bonus for any post season play.

Wright State is a small school. If they have to PAY for the "honor" of playing in either of these two smaller forums, the school just may not have the money. More than just the desire to play post-season has to be considered. I see nothing wrong with the decision.
