A word describing a small and not particulary strong or hard person. Someone who thinks that they shouldn't be disrespected. Can be offensive to some people. Its origin is cloudy but after some research i have traced this word to TWGSB in kent where it was first used on a pupil as a joke that he took as an offense.

Cold just likes "hearing himself talk" so to speak. This is just one of those times.

I swear he is either a politician or a motivational speaker with the posts (sometimes very long winded) that he comes up with. It's pretty funny.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

Doc, I know you are smarter than that. This thread is about complaining and talking about the CU game. All the other complaints Sub painstakingly put together, that's my bread-and-butter. I will always happily put my two cents worth on those. Just so ya know.

We should be talking about Cleveland State...

                Genius.

The entire front page is either a Creighton thread or is a thread polluted by "Creighton issues".

This is not a Creighton thread. This is a thread mocking those that are perpetually concerned about things Creighton.

No one is concerned with sCUm.

People are concerned with making fun of sCUm.

When you get into one of your UglyBall rants, that whole long post you made becomes very, very hypocritical..
When Shockernet, by far the most populous and active college sports forum in the MVC, dedicates an entire front page to Creighton or Creighton-related threads, somebody or a group of somebodies is very concerned.

I have nothing against the disparagement, ridicule, or marginalization of Creighton or any other program in the MVC. In fact I encourage it. But... there is a point when "making fun of" becomes an "obsession with". It is a time and space that lies somewhere between one thread and a whole front page of threads.

Let me offer the following analogy:

The two actors in my example are Billy the Bully (representing WSU) and Dana the cross-dressing, excommunicated altarboy (representing the BJ's). This example takes place on any elementary school playground circa.. second grade.

Billy walks out onto the playground looking to assert himself onto some unsuspecting classmate of whom he holds a perceived advantage against. Billy notices Dana, a frail little boy who dresses in pastel colors and often carries a purse (he calls it a hand bag).

Billy decides he wants to take advantage of Dana and proceeds to pummel him when they pass by the swing-set and out of view of the monitors. Billy giggles and Dana bleeds. Survival of the fittest you say? Perhaps. But what if Billy continued to pound Dana day after day after day after day? At some point you would start to question Billy. What does Billy have against poor little Dana? Surely it couldn't just be the simple fact that he is weaker could it? Why doesn't Billy pick on some of the other frail school kids?

AT some point our "Billy" goes from the tyrant to the obsessed. No longer do we see him as just an aggressive kid looking to dominate the weak. Now we see a kid that might be beating up what he hates and believes to be living inside of him. Now we see "Billy" as pathological and desperate.

Take a lesson from CB: Appreciate, exploit, and remind our Valley brethren of their comparative weaknesses. Spin all negative Shocker outcomes towards the positive. And NEVER I mean NEVER appear to care too much.

One or two threads on Valleytalk about UglyBallTM, BandiesTM, Powerhouse CalculatorsTM, Omaha vs. Wichita, rented arenas, etc. etc. etc. is fine. Having Wichita State's primary message board dominated by a single topic about a tiny private school is not fine.

Would we dedicate a full page to a topic involving Friends University or Kansas Newman? Of course not, that would be silly right? Well, Creighton is no different. I tiny, insignificant, Jesuit school, with a program and Big 12 reject-of-a-coach that accepts good in lieu of great.

Let's keep our heads up Shocker fans. I believe great things are in store for us!

That's a pretty solid post and I can agree with that.

Maybe we should've comprised everything into one sCUmmy thread. But you must understand, we, as Shocker fans, needed to vent a little bit. All of this will begin to subside until next year. I don't think I would call it an obsession, but more like entertainment. I find that most every thread in here is a legitimate one.

Trust me, sCUm deserves all the hate they can get. We're front page news to Matty P.'s world. I love riling that 'professional' up. Who'd a thunk a radio host would get so upset over an internet message board?

                  K, point taken.

                  ... No really, deuces.

I don't hate Creighton fans, I am indifferent.

I am indifferent to the entire MVC.

The only hate I could muster that was somehow related to the MVC was the way SIU-C "played". They played such a physical game that when we won against it I think I felt true joy and not relief like I do against other MVC teams. SIU-C really had a cute gimmick going. It was nasty to play against...

The lack of Allen iverson quotes changing practice to creighton is disturbing.
