Speaking of Lutz ...

Some of his comments today, when put together, seem strange.

He started off the show by saying he wasn't happy with his "guilt by association" thing.

Towards the end of the first segment he was getting downright mad about how much he "heard it" from Shocker fans on Sunday.

But then later he said he was the one who pushed to see the video and get time with Elgin.

But he stood by what he saw... at least for a bit of the show. It seemed like at some point during a commercial break they watched some of the video here. Maybe that is my ego talking but out of nowhere they were talking about specifics that were brought up here, like the variation on the clocks and such. The wonderful first caller, Kim (?) even asked them to watch the videos we had posted here.

Then his story changed and he wasn't as certain about what he saw in the truck.

That 'column' was the biggest piece of smug, self-serving dreck that I've ever read, and I've read a lot of Bob Lutz. He made the entire thing about him, and how HE got to go see the video and how HE can authoritatively say that the shot counted and look how important HE is and blah blah blah.

Seeing the pictures of the guys stunned, Ramon crying at center court, I have to think THAT'S what he should have written about. But thank God, the results of the game have been officially certified by Bob freakin' Lutz. Somebody with infinitesimally more pull in the local sports scene than I do.

What a jacka$$.

Save your ears, I really got the best parts there in my post. It was no surprise to hear how indignant Bob was about the whole thing.

Let me put it another way, Bruce was Bruce about the whole thing but was more focused on the KU weather SNAFU, and Bob was Bob. Shocking, I know.
