Hey Shocker fans, just got back from STL and wanted to post a few things...

First off, I feel for you with that bitter pill you had to swallow on Friday. We were in the tunnel behind your student section watching the final minutes waiting for the ushers to let us down to the section and we were cheering for you guys. A few of your fans turned around and were giving us thumbs up as they saw we were rooting you guys on. I sympathize with the tough defeat. Redbird fans know how it feels, believe me.

Also, I really wanted to say thanks to the supprt we got from you guys during our game vs. CU on Sat and today vs. UNI. I know you don't have much love for CU but believe me, we all noticed the yellow-clad section standing & cheering for us from the moment our guys ran out of the tunnel at the beginning of our games. Alot of our fans were talkin about that and it was cool to see & hear your support this weekend. Thanks for cheering us on.

Lastly, I ran into quite a few Shocker faithful at some of the local establishments this weekend and had some coldies & enjoyed some good hoops discussion...a pleasure as always.
I am a diehard Illinois State Redbird fan first, and an MVC supporter, diplomat, and ambassador of good will second.

It was fun to be cheering on your team. Osiris and Champ may be the best duo in the Valley and were a blast to watch Saturday. It also seemed to irritate many of the CU fans around us that we were so passionate about ISU winning.

Hopefully we finish 1-2 next year and face off in the championship game.

Thanks for the nice feedback Phantom.

It's not just a message board thing. WSU fans really do like what ISU is all about. Classy program, classy fanbase, etc. It's not hard to root for you.

O put on an NBA clinic today (at least in the 2nd half.) I was really hoping you'd get it done. I think you guys had a better chance to win in the NCAA's than UNI will. I was looking forward to O being the 'Curry" of 2008. I really, really, reallyyyyy wanted you guys to carry the Valley flag this year. It sucks.

Good luck in the NIT. Good luck in the offseason, and good luck next year.

        :good:

(And thank you for beating the snot out of sCUm.) Highlight of the tourney.
        Deuces Valley.
        ... No really, deuces.

Yea, they were throwing them out left and right... and they also threw out a Shocker fan sitting in section 113 above the exit. He did seem to be out of control and deserving of an early exit. It appears the Valley tournament is turning into a drunk-fest.

This guy even booed the Creighton dance team during the halftime show. He did not represent WSU in a positive manner. He was ejected and he deserved to be ejected. It could have gotten very ugly if the ushers didn't remove both the Creighton fans and this WSU guy.

Heck - I booed the creighton dance team/cheerleaders (whatever they are) everytime they came out. Talk about LAME. They consisted of approximately 15-20 barbies hopping around in flesh colored shoes (which were creeping me out.)

They reminded me of the ultra lame cheerleaders from Duke when we were playing in Greensboro in 2006.

And what is up with the kids in the stupid striped overalls??? :P

We were sitting by the Creighton Student Section during the Saturday game; almost as many security guards around them as there were students !!

We made a sign and held it up at the end of the game for the CU students (that hadn't already been thrown out) to read as they exited :

"Boo Hoo CU Next Year" !!

                  Can't wait !
