  • More Classic "Creighton" Fans

For those not in attendance, this was uber funny.

The marketing staff was going around before the game interviewing fans asking them several questions, one of which was "What is your favorite moment in basketball?"

One kid, maybe 13 or so, and decked out in his CU gear answered, and I'm not kidding, when Georgetown won it all. No mention of CU.

Another lady, unable to come up with any answer at all, asked for help. "I don't know, what IS my favorite moment?" directed to friends off camera. Ah, the free thinkers in Bugaha.

Another man finally was at least able to pull out a BJ memory stating the win over Florida was his favorite.....he guessed on the date, 6 years ago (it was 7 smart guy) and was unable to provide much else in the way of detail.

Needless to say, the Husker fans were out in mass last night.

For balance, the 2 WSU fan responses I saw (I was laughing hysterically at the CU kid so I may have missed one), both young ladies, described in detail the Sweet 16 run and the Battle of New Orleans in stunning and vivid detail.

To summarize, CU had an IMPRESSIVE number of fans in attendance, but nobody outshines SHOCKER FANS!

One day soon, payback is going to come.

One more thing, again for those not in attendance.

Perhaps the most funny moment of the evening occured after Dana went on another of famously long whines, this time about a wet spot on the floor right in front of his bench.

He had spent a good portion of the game pleading, begging and whining to everyone there about how he was getting screwed and obviously wanted to point out that his team just gave up a basket not because of WSU but because of a wet spot on the floor.

The ball boys and Sanzere mopped and wiped. And mopped and wiped.

And mopped and wiped (by this time the crowd was annoyed and not just WSU fans and Mike Sanzere was actually finding something he was good at )

After Dana had satisfaction that order was restored, Gregg went out and picked a "wet spot" on the other end of the court....I think you missed a spot.......

It was PERFECTLY delivered and the crowd ROARED their collective approval.

    Well done Coach!

        Wet Spot Dana.

We HAVE to work this into something for their visit to CKA next year. A big stick of Aarid Extra Dry? Feminine hygiene products? :innocent:

Did anyone see how Dana reacted at the end? Like a flying d-bag, high-fiving Marshall and all the WSU assistants down the court.

You want that d-bag to represent the Valley in the NCAAs? That d-bag is the 'dean' of coaching in this league?

I also have yet to hear him give WSU any credit in the roaring comeback. Just how bad CU was. It really does pain him to give us any type of props. I can't wait til he squats one today.
          Deuces Valley.
          ... No really, deuces.

Bruce and Bob...please stop putting this cry baby on the radio program every year!

You guys are going to get the reputation of being Dana's personal butt boys!

Next year's home game with Creighton, that's where they need to hand out towels. And we'll need a lot of signs, a LOT of signs.

This might have been brought up on another thread, but how about Stinnett putting his hand behind his head (like a model) when he dunked after the pass from Dotzler? That photo should be blown up and put on a sign, too. It could inspire the Shockers in their next game with the Bluejays.

Or shirts with Altman's picture on a "Slippery when wet (or dry)" sign?

"What can you do in 1.9 sec?
              Sneeze
              Swallow
              Blink twice
Throw it in, fumble, dribble twice, & shoot"

Regardless, there's no use crying over spilt bilk.
