There are 3 of us at the Residence Inn. Anyone know if that is within walking distance to Scottrade Center? I know it's close but not sure if we can walk instead of looking for parking.

In less time than it took to write your entry, you could have looked it up on mapquest.
My peeps and I are staying in a new Residence Inn just southwest of Union Station.
If there are bunch of us close, I though we could get a "Capture the Flag" game going some evening.
ABC, just stay away from the 'Skid' Twister.
Some things posted on here are funny; others just plain disturbing.
This one qualifies for the latter.
It sure seems like there would be a reference to Fever in this picture... Never mind. 8)

See you in St. Louis
I actually meant is it a good neighborhood to walk through to get to the arena from the Residence Inn.

It's a pretty long walk, but not too bad. We're staying at the Sheraton this year, mainly because it's the closest one and we got it for $90 a night. Years past we've stayed at Union Station and a few of the others out by the arch. The weather looks to be warm this year in comparision to years past, so as long as there isn't much rain, the walks should be nice for those of you staying further away.

If it is the new Residence Inn on Jefferson I bet the shuttle will take all of Shocker fans.

Forget about parking, unless you get lucky. There is surface parking around, but it is always full.
The Sheraton has a parking garage, but the fee will knock your hat off.
The Scott Trade Center has a parking garage under the arena. I have never parked there. It looks like it is a hassle, but I have no experience with it.
Forget about cabs.
Ask your hotel about shuttles. Several restaurants offer them. Shuttles are a great way to go.
It is not uncommon for folks to walk 6-8 blocks. It beats the alternatives. Most of them anyway.
If you have a Metro Link station near your hotel, take it. One is right adjacent to Busch Stadium and the Westin. There is a Metro Link station adjacent to the Scott Trade Center. The Metro Link is also a great way to go.
I hope this helps.

Staying at the Drury Union Station - just west of Union Station. Free breakfast, free parking, somewhere around 140 per night. Great location, walk across the street to Union Station, and another block or 2 to the games.
The Drury Inn at the Arch is also a nice one to stay at. It's decently affordable as well. The only drawback is that it's a little bit more of a walk. Not long though... especially when they're expecting 60-70 degree temps all weekend down there.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

We have stayed at the Sheraton, Marriott, Hampton, Drury Union Station, Westin, Courtyard and at the airport.
Teresa prefers the Drury Union Station above all the others.
I think I agree with her.
