Oguchi's award should be called the Oldcomer of the Year considering he is a Senior.

          UNI looks evil next year.

Most of the Valley looks better next year than this year. UE is a notable exception.

The honors to WSU players seem deserved, and the omissions from honors also appear deserved. I'm looking for Durley to get some recognition next year. It's going to require that kind of a year from Durley and I think Durley is progressing well enough - finally - to achieve that level.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

            Question

I guess my only question would be - should Mullins really be Defensive MVP when he misses 1/4 of the league season? I think Mullins got better every year - but not certain I would have given him that honor. Did it really seem like there was a standout defender this year?
Don't let the fear of striking out - keep you from playing the game!

No, there wasn't. And that's why he probably got it. A list-ditch pick. Missing 1/4 season and getting it was definitely an iffy.

1972, thanks for the nice breakdown.
              Deuces Valley.
              ... No really, deuces.

It is going to be tough for WSU to move up in the standings. The other valley teams are going to be improving also. It will come down to how much the returning players are committed to work in the offseason to get better. Not sure if that can even be predicted.

The second question will the roster talent due new players coming in be greater than the roster losses - that looks a little easier to answer. At this point it should be yes.

Eagle is reporting that Sam Singh has received an additional year of eligibility for Bradley.

You can rest assured that NO TEAM will work harder or be better prepared for next season than the boys in Gold and Black.

Lets make sure we are keeping our individual expectations within reason, but we moved forward faster and farther than any other team this year, and while losing Ramon hurts, we have some quality players ready to step in.

I'd be interested to see what other eligible transfers and redshirts will be playing next year (ala Coy and Blair). It seems to be a distinct advantage when your newcomers have a year of practice under their belts. For this reason, I like WSU's chances of a top 3 finish. UNI should be the clear favorites.
