I hope 'Cold never has to prove he isn't soft by facing the adversity Johnny already has.

I've said it a lot and I am proud to say it again. If winning means we need to give up the way the program has been run lately with the class of kids we've mostly had, then I don't want to win.

Matty B was hardly intimidating to look at. But you don't get a billion concussions by playing "soft". He was small, but you can never question his heart or intensity.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

He kind of looks like Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie "Departed". The character was a Boston BadA$$ in that movie. That's a good sign.

I might be able to get a topless pic this summer. I'm thinkin' a soft body goes with that soft face! I like my Shocker players ripped and bumpy! :)

I am looking forward to watching him play both sports.
            One has to hope!

I guess nobody took a shot at my little trivia question. I guess they were a bit too preoccupied with the emotional reaction they got from my original post. :yahoo:

Does anybody remember this lil' "softy"?

On the contrary my good Capitol Shock. Everything went as planned.

And C0|db|00ded is not the ambassador of ShockerNet -lol. CB also is not the ambassador of GG, Mr. Coy., Mr. Sexton et al.

CB is the great promoter of Wichita State University. Anything and anyone that dares stand in the way of our fine university's continued march towards national prominence will be marked for destruction!

              It's a great day...

But he had facial reconstructive surgery to help eliminate his sappy look. Notice how his game improved after he got a new jaw over the summer?

What could we chip in to buy this guy some aggressiveness? I think he needs a stronger chin and a bunch of tattoos running down his arms!

Oh my goodness! I am in direct opposition to that viewpoint. But then again, you already knew that... :D

Give me the top-50 NBA draft pick with a penchant for sideline peeing before you give me the "nice" middling ballplayer whom I would "love to have over for dinner". Some of these players act like animals, literally, but they know how to get it done on the court. For Wichita State to appeal to the national audience academically and otherwise, it needs to haul in a boatload of W's year in and year out. This requires a boatload of ballers and they all aren't nice. Some might even stab you if they get itchy (Giggens).

We are no better than a KU or a K-State. To act holier than thou is just disingenuous. If given the opportunity, 99% on here would take the exact same players (skeletons and otherwise) that our sister schools have over the years.

It's all about the W's.. sorry.

If that is softness I would take a softy every time. As I understand it, it's not like his dad had his stroke before he went to ASU, then Johnny had second thoughts. It's more like he was at ASU, then there was a serious, life-changing event and he wanted to be there to support his family through what I can assure you is a very grueling ordeal, at a challenging time in his own life, no less. Rather than take the path of least resistance, which would have been to stay the course in Arizona, he decided to go through a difficult transfer process because the young man has his priorities straight. If anything, that is a sign of maturity.

That said, I'm right with you in hoping it was a one-time deal.
His dad was ill before he left. That is why his NCAA petition is iffy.

Johnny Coy! Welcome to Wichita State! C0|db|00ded is VERY happy you came to our fine university! Play hard and leave your heart on the floor every night and the fans will embrace you as if you were their own! Prove my silly comment wrong and DON'T BE SOFT!!

Yeah, do we really want more guys like Jamar Howard, who get into trouble? How many times did he get T'd up?

                                Silly nubs...

                                I was doing the replying...

It was late at night and I only addressed a few of my fans. If you notice, I didn't even reply to all those who addressed me. *sigh*
