Certainly not talking about us like we are a ninth place team.

    We're not a 9th place team last time I checked. :)

That is a good write up though.

Why do I get the feeling that Paul Suellentrop is the primary contributor (or at least the primary source) for the USAToday write-ups?

I was just thinking the same thing. Sounds a lot like some of his previous write-ups.

It sounds very similar to the Eagle articles. He has his hand in other blogs or papers, doesn't he?

I'm sure that USA Today doesn't have time/enough sports reporters to do the research for each NCAA team. They might as well make use of the Eagle's beat reporter. Could be worse, they could be using Parsons's "reporting" and calling Marshall unprofessional for enjoying a win.

Others are noticing us also. A Creighton fan wrote that he doesn't want the Jays playing us in the tournament.

That's been mentioned in a lot of places/message boards.

We just have to remember to play in St. Louis like we do at home.

A word of caution though guys. I hate to be the redundant Debbie Downer, but we're still a few losses away from being a 7th-8th place team.

I'm ready to turn the corner though.. :good:

The surprising stat in that article was that if we beat InSt here, it will be the longest home winning streak in about 20 years. The 2006 team only won 6 straight at home.

I think it is kind of an important stat though. Owning your home court and having long home winning streaks help you establish your program for the long term.
